Each gourd is a unique, one of a kind creation, hand carved by David Chestnut. Each gourd is inspected, cleaned, and prepared for carving. David draws each design by hand, then carefully carves the image into the gourd. After carving, the gourd is stained and sealed to ensure its longevity. Custom designs are available upon request. Our beautiful gourd purses are hand carved with a variety of unique designs, and embellished with a combination of semi-precious gem stones, feathers, metal beads or Swarovski crystals. The insides of the gourd purses are finished off with a decorative design that compliments the exterior motif. Each gourd purse is a one-of-a-kind creation, and is as unique as the person who purchases it. Gourd purses look wonderful hanging on a wall with a bouquet of dried flowers or with strings of prayer beads cascading from the inside. |
